Health Visiting Service
The Health Visiting and School Nursing teams are here to support parents, carers and young people to be healthy. They provide advice and support right through from pregnancy up until a child is 19.
The team covers Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
Guide to Health Visitor checks
You will be offered regular health and development reviews (health visitor checks) for your baby until they are two. These are to support you and your baby, and make sure their development is on track.
Funded early learning & childcare places
Your two year old may qualify for free early education and childcare.
From language and literacy development to social skills and creative expression, children benefit from the new experiences and activities available in nurseries.
Libraries welcome children. Go along to join in activities, groups and choose books to borrow.
They know that babies and toddlers can be noisy – don’t worry, they want children to talk about the books they have read and the activities they have joined in with.
Anyone can join the library – even babies – there are no age limits and it’s free!
Children are welcome to borrow up to 20 books for 3 weeks. There are no charges for any damage that may be caused by children who are under 5 or for any books that are late if they have been borrowed on a child’s ticket.
